Jenny Boissiere
Jenny Boissiere began making her first dances while still in high school. Her love for crafting movement continued as a student at Washington University in St. Louis, where she graduated with a B.A. in Dance and Marketing. She then moved to New York City in 2007, living in Brooklyn and then Harlem for the last four years.
Since arriving in New York City, Jenny has danced for Jessica Danser/Dansfolk, Kelly Donovan & Dancers, Alaine Handa & Dancers, Banana Peel Dance, and apprenticed for InSpirit: A Dance Company. Jenny's choreography has been shown at Gibney Dance Center's Showdown, Movement Research's Open Performance, ModArts Dance's Collective Thread, and Brooklyn Ballet's First Look.
In 2017, she was selected to participate in Doug Varone's Choreographic Mentorship program, Chen Dance Center's NewSteps: A Choreographer's Series, and Collective Thread at Dixon Place. She will be a part of Gibney Dance's inaugural DEEP (Dancer's Economic Empowerment Program) cohort. This spring, Jenny was selected as to travel to Boulder, Colorado and choreograph for T2 Dance's first annual Spring Break ChoreoFEST.

*Note, because Jenny does not live in Seattle, her rehearsal process will consist of two weeks of intensive rehearsals (most likely one week in October and one in February). Weekly or bi-weekly rehearsals without Jenny will be scheduled for dancers in between.
